Website Course
- Overview
This course has participants create three web pages using three different web page creation tools. These are actual pages on the website. This will introduce the user on how to “install” their web pages and the issues surrounding web page design. Elements of the web page will include a graphic or photo, link to another website, link to send an email. Also included will be using templates.
- Audience
Participants should have familiarity with Windows 95/98/NT and some mouse and typing skills. Participants must also be familiar with using the Internet and search engines.

- Basics of Web Page Design
- What makes a good web page
- What issues need to be considered when designing web pages (browsers, settings, operating systems)
- Web Page tools (Front page, Dreamweaver, Word, PowerPoint, Coffee Cup, and others will be discussed)
- Creating a page
- Participants will create a web page using Microsoft Word and place it on a website
- Participants will create another page using Yahoo! or other design tool
- Introductory on loading and manipulating images for the webpage
- Users will review web pages on the Internet and discuss adding elements to their web page
- Advanced Design
- Demonstration and information will be provided on enhancing web pages and sources for code, tutorials and more information. How to obtain free design tools and more.
